1. Introduction

FreshAirClean (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a mobile device cleaning and file organization application developed by FreshAirClean (the “Developer”). Our core service is to help users clean up unnecessary files (including installation packages, APK files, images, cache, and other junk files), organize file types, and free up device storage space. We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and personal data, and we strictly comply with global data protection regulations, including Google Play Developer Policies, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and relevant local privacy laws.

This Privacy Policy clearly explains the types of data we process, how we use permissions, how we protect your information, and the rights you have regarding your data. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using FreshAirClean, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with any terms herein, please do not use our App.

FreshAirClean adheres strictly to the data minimization principle — we only collect anonymous, non-personal data that is absolutely necessary to provide our core cleaning and file organization services. All core data processing is conducted locally on your device to ensure maximum privacy protection.

3.1 Data Processed Locally (Never Uploaded to Our Servers)

To deliver our core functions (cleaning installation packages, APKs, images, and other junk files; organizing file types), we process the following data exclusively on your device, and this data is never uploaded to our servers by default:

File System Metadata: Basic information about files stored on your device, including file size, file type (e.g., APK, image, cache), storage path, and modification date. This data is used solely to identify installation packages, APKs, images, and other junk files, help users count and organize these file types, and facilitate cleaning operations. It is permanently deleted immediately after the cleaning or organization process is completed.
Installed Application List: Package names and usage frequency of apps installed on your device. This data is used to analyze unused apps and provide uninstallation recommendations, as well as to distinguish between valid APKs and redundant installation packages — no personal identifiers or app content are collected.
Device Status Data: Basic device information, including device model, brand, Android OS version, total storage capacity, available free space, and RAM usage. This data is used to optimize FreshAirClean’s compatibility across different devices and ensure smooth performance of our cleaning and organization features.

3.2 Optional Anonymous Diagnostic Data (Uploaded Only with Your Consent)

To improve FreshAirClean’s stability, fix technical bugs, and enhance user experience, we may collect optional anonymous diagnostic data. This data is uploaded to our servers only if you explicitly consent during app setup or in the app settings:

Crash Reports: Stack traces, device model, and FreshAirClean version (no personal data, file content, or sensitive information is included).
Usage Analytics: Anonymous statistics about feature usage frequency (e.g., how often you use the APK cleaning, image organization, or junk file cleaning feature), scan and clean session counts, and app performance metrics (no user identifiers or private data).

3.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

We never collect or access the following sensitive data under any circumstances, and we have no mechanism to retrieve or store this information:

Personal identification information (e.g., name, email address, phone number, ID number, username, or social media accounts).
Sensitive user data (e.g., the actual content of photos, videos, documents, contacts, SMS, call logs, location data, or browsing history — we only process file metadata, not file content).
Biometric data (e.g., fingerprints, facial recognition data, or voice prints).
Payment or financial information (e.g., credit card details, bank account information, or transaction history).

Legitimate Interests: To provide core cleaning (installation packages, APKs, images, junk files) and file organization services, fix bugs, and improve the app’s stability and performance. This processing does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms, and we prioritize your privacy at all times.
Performance of a Contract: To fulfill our obligation to deliver the app’s core functionality as requested by you when you use FreshAirClean (e.g., cleaning APKs, organizing images, freeing up storage).

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data exclusively for the following purposes, and we never use or share your data for unauthorized, commercial, or unrelated purposes (e.g., targeted advertising, user profiling, or data monetization):

To scan, identify, and clean unnecessary files, including installation packages, APK files, images, cache, residual files, duplicate files, and other junk files, to free up device storage space.
To count and classify files by type (e.g., APKs, images), allowing users to choose which files to organize or clean according to their needs.
To analyze installed apps and their usage frequency, providing recommendations to uninstall unused apps and delete redundant APK installation packages.
To improve FreshAirClean’s stability, fix technical bugs, and optimize its performance across different Android devices and OS versions (using optional anonymous diagnostic data, if consented).
To verify compatibility with different device models and ensure a smooth, consistent user experience for all users.
To respond to user support requests, using only the information you voluntarily provide when contacting us (e.g., feedback, bug reports).

6. Permissions and Usage Justification

FreshAirClean requests minimal permissions to deliver its core cleaning and file organization functions (cleaning APKs, images, installation packages, etc.). All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device’s settings. We only use permissions for the stated purposes, in full compliance with Google Play’s storage policies and global data protection regulations.

7. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

7.1 Local Processing and Storage

All core data processing (scanning, analysis, cleaning, file classification) is conducted locally on your device. No file content, personal data, or sensitive information is uploaded to our servers by default. This ensures that your privacy is protected, and your data remains under your full control at all times.

7.2 Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect the data we process, including encryption, secure SDK integration, and strict access control. We take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your data. While no security measure is 100% foolproof, we continuously update our security practices to ensure the highest level of protection for your information.

7.3 Data Retention

Local metadata (file system metadata, installed app list, device status data) is deleted immediately after the cleaning, scanning, or file organization process is completed. No persistent local data is stored beyond what is necessary for FreshAirClean’s immediate functionality.
Anonymous diagnostic data (if you consent) is retained for a maximum of 90 days, after which it is either anonymized (irreversibly stripped of any potential identifiers) or permanently deleted. We do not retain this data longer than necessary to improve the app.

7.4 Uninstallation

Uninstalling FreshAirClean will permanently delete all local data generated by the app, including temporary scan data, cached information, and any optional diagnostic data stored locally. No data related to your use of FreshAirClean will remain on your device after uninstallation.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data, private information, or file content with any third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be shared only in the following limited and compliant scenarios:

Explicit Consent: We will only share your data with a third party if you have given your explicit written consent for a specific purpose.
Trusted Service Providers: We may share anonymous diagnostic data (if you consent) with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., crash analysis SDKs) that are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. These providers are only authorized to use the data for technical support and app improvement, and they are prohibited from using it for any other purposes.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or government authority (e.g., a court order, subpoena, or regulatory request). In such cases, we will disclose only the minimum amount of data necessary to comply with the obligation.

These third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we do not control their data practices. We only integrate third-party services that comply with Google Play policies and global data protection laws, and we ensure that these services do not collect personal data or sensitive information from our users.

11. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside the EEA, any anonymous diagnostic data we collect (with your consent) may be transferred to servers in US. We ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws by using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other recognized safeguards for cross-border data transfers, to ensure that your data is protected to the same standard as required by your local data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in FreshAirClean’s functionality, technological advancements, or regulatory requirements. When we make material changes (e.g., changes to data collection practices), we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy and notify you via an in-app message or email (if you have provided contact information). Continued use of FreshAirClean after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
